Hot Lunch
Information for out Hot Lunch program (Wednesdays) can be found in the Weekly Principal's Memo. Orders for the first half of the year begin in September, and orders for the second half of the year begin in January.
Munch A Lunch Online Ordering Instructions
- Please visit the MunchaLunch website by visiting: https://munchalunch.com/schools/HolyCrossElementary/ and log in to your existing account.
- Complete each selection for the term and submit your order. You can view your order online in your account, and an emailed a reminder will be sent to you the day before any hot lunch you have ordered.
- Payment: please submit a cheque or cash to the school office or class teacher for your payment, ONE cheque per family is preferred. Please do NOT put cheques in envelopes but do write your hot lunch ORDER NUMBER(S) or child’s name in the memo part of the cheque.
Uniform
Holy Cross Elementary School believes that a school uniform is an identifying symbol of a particular school with its own individual characteristics. It identifies a child as a student of Holy Cross Elementary School and should be worn with pride. Detailed information can be found in the Parent Handbook.
Regular Uniform
The following outlines the regular school uniform:
Girls:
- HCS Crested Burgundy Pullover Sweater or Vest
- White Short-sleeved Oxford Cloth Shirt with HCS monogram
- HCS Plaid Kilt
- Black Knee Socks (tights may be worn in the winter)
Boys:
- HCS Crested Burgundy Pullover Sweater or Vest
- White Short-sleeved Oxford Cloth Shirt with HCS monogram
- HCS Grey Dress Pants
- Black socks (no white socks)
Boys & Girls Shoes (Regular & Spring Uniform):
- Black Shoes: (soft soled, closed toe, closed heel dress shoe, height of heel not to exceed 1.5 inches)
- No Boots
- Velcro or slip-on shoes required in Kindergarten.
Spring Uniform
Students have the option of wearing a school Spring Uniform for the period of approximately May 1st until the 1st Monday of October of each school year.
Girls Spring:
- HCS Burgundy Polo Shirt (with HCS monogram)
- HCS Grey Skort
- White Ankle Socks (no logos)
Boys Spring:
- HCS Burgundy Polo Shirt (with HCS monogram)
- HCS Grey Walking Shorts
- White Ankle Socks (no logos)
