Please be advised that a new Basketball Practice Schedule will be announced early next week to all teams.
- Feb. 7 – Gr. 6 & 7 Downhill Skiing / Snowboarding Field trip to Cypress Mtn (Leaving @ 8 am & returning by appx. 4:15 pm)
- Feb. 8 – Holy Cross “Havana Nights” Pub-Night Dinner, Dance & Auction in the School Gymnasium (Doors open @ 7 pm) Please come and enjoy a night of great fun, great food, great auctions, and great entertainment. Kindly note that NO tickets will be sold at the door.
- Feb. 9 to 15 – Catholic Schools Week throughout the CISVA
- Feb. 10 – Gr. 5 & 6 Girls Annual Titan’s Basketball Tip-off Tournament in our Gym from 12:45 to 4:30 pm (Please refer to the schedule from Miss Campbell for game times)
- Feb. 11 – Student Council’s Annual Valentine’s Colours Day & Dance (The Students will be eating Lunch @ 11:45 am and the Dance will start @ Noon. Please come to School dressed in your favourite Valentine’s Colours and kindly bring in a loonie if you wish for your name to be entered into the Lucky Prize Draw in support of Catholic Charities.)
- Feb. 11 – Gr. 2 Reconciliation Parent’s Meeting @ 7 pm in the Gym
- Feb 11 – Gr. 7 Girls Basketball Game vs. Our Lady of Mercy in our Gym @ 3 pm
- Feb. 12 – Hot Lunch Day (Chicken Burger)
- Feb. 12 – Knights of Columbus Annual Free Throw Competition in our Gym (Gr. 7 @ 12:30 / Gr. 5 @ 1:15 pm / Gr. 6 @ 2 pm)
- Feb. 13 & 14 – CISVA Catholic Educators Conference (No Classes)
- Feb. 17 – Provincial Family Day Holiday (No Classes)
- Feb. 18 – Professional Development Day (No Classes)
**Thank you to all of you who continue to cooperate in helping us implement the new no left turn regulation in/out of our parking lot between 8:30 to 9:30 am & 2:30 to 3:30 pm. “U Turns in/out of the Bonjour Petits Daycare Facility at 1600 Delta Ave, in an effort to make a right turn into our Parking Lot, are NOT permitted.
**In the event of Poor Winter Weather Conditions, please do the following for School Closure Information: 1) Check the School Website and Parent Updates 2) Listen to CKNW 980 on your AM Dial and 3) Wait for a call from your Class Phoning Parent.
**We would like to extend our deepest condolences to Mr. Alberti and his family on the passing of his father, Sergio Alberti, this past week. A donation to the Kidney Foundation of Canada has been made on behalf of the Holy Cross School Families and the Holy Cross Parish Education Committee. Please continue to keep Mr. Alberti and his family in your prayers.
