June 24, 2020 Weekly Principal’s Memo

I would like to start off by thanking our Parent Community for their on-going generous and cooperative support throughout the past year. The year behind us provided us with many challenges, however, I feel that these circumstances played a big role in galvanizing the Holy Cross Community even further.

I would like to say a special thank you to all the families that are leaving our school with their children graduating from Grade 7. Your support was sincere and will never be forgotten. We’d also would like to extend our gratitude to Robert Scaglione and Family for offering, sustaining, and providing a bursary to Grade 7 Students emphasizing academic excellence and leadership for over 13 years.

Based on the current COVID-19 situation in British Columbia, our Provincial and Local Educational/Health Authorities are forecasting a back to normal return for all elementary schools for September 2020. Unless the COVID-19 scenario trends back in a negative direction, all Teachers and Students will be expected to make a return to the classroom on September 8th.

  • September 8th at Holy Cross will go from 8:55am-2:00pm.
  • TAC starts on September 8th and all forms and required documents will be available online in August.
  • September 9th will be a regular full day.

If there are any changes to the above expectations being prescribed by our Educational/Health Authorities in regards to the school opening and Students attendance, you will be notified by the end of August.

Wishing you all a very safe and enjoyable Summer Vacation,
