If you have new toys in original packaging at home that you would like to donate, please send them in. We realize that this will significantly decrease the number of toys that we will be bringing down to the Raycam Centre this year, however, we will be donating brand new jackets provided by the Knights of Columbus and duffle bags with socks inside courtesy of David Mottes to help offset the lower number of toys being donated.

Christmas Musical Updates

  • Please ensure that you are communicating with your Grade 7 child regarding pick-up times for after-school filming.
  • Children are asked to come to school dressed in their costumes for the Christmas Musical on the following dates. Please refer to Ms. Ranallo’s Memo:
    • Grade 3 and Grade 6 – Friday, November 27
  • Kindly note that this year, the Annual Christmas Musical will be presented in the form of a movie/film production. This adaptation has been made in an effort to adhere to current COVID-19 regulations and still continue with the tradition of a Christmas Musical. More information regarding the musical production will continue to be distributed over the next few weeks from Ms. Ranallo.

*This year, the PEC and I would like to extend our sincere gratitude for your generous support of our school fundraisers. As a token of that gratitude, and in light of the current COVID-19 regulations, we are informing all of our parent community that your fundraising hour expectation of 10 hours per year will be reduced to 5 hours for the 2020/21 school year. Details of our February Pub Night Auction Fundraiser will be forthcoming.

*With the onset of winter weather conditions, just a friendly reminder to ensure your children are coming to school dressed appropriately for the weather (ie. jackets, gloves, etc).

*In anticipation of poor weather outside during the season, we ask you to proceed with due care and attention when entering and exiting our parking lot at all times.

*Our sincere gratitude goes out to our families at Holy Cross School for continuing to follow the protocols laid out in our 2020 Health & Safety Plan. We continue to advise families of our school community to continue to err on the side of caution when deciding to send your children to school. In light of the most current press release from Dr. Bonnie Henry, I would like to commend our school community for their responsible cooperation with our Health & Safety Guidelines and I strongly urge our parents to continue with their diligence in this area. As a group, I believe we can continue to manage COVID-19 issues at the school level, but it is critical as our Provincial Health Officer regularly mentions that these guidelines are followed outside of the school as well. Thus far, your discretion and judgement has been outstanding and it has helped to maintain a safe school environment for all of us.

We thank you for your overwhelming support,

Mr. Dino Alberti
Principal
