We’re ecstatic to announce that this year, close to $50,000.00 was raised for our Walkathon. • If you have not yet picked up your medal, please stop by the public library that you were enrolled in to receive one.
  • Friday, October 30
    • Halloween Activities Day
      • Students are encouraged to come in appropriate costumes on this date. Please refrain from costumes associated with violence, weaponry, blood, and gore. In an effort to ensure student safety, students are asked to refrain from wearing full face halloween masks.
      • Please note that classes have been scheduled to view a Haunted House video that the Grade 7 Students have developed. There will be a version for Primary Grades and a version for Intermediate Grades. If you prefer that your child NOT view the Haunted House video, kindly inform the classroom teacher via email message by Wednesday, October 28.
        • Students are asked to make a small donation of a Loonie/Toonie to the Holy Childhood Mission Society on this day. Each child will be receiving a small treat on this day as a token of our gratitude.

*In anticipation of poor weather outside during the season, please consider the following when collecting your child/children at dismissal:
If you are arriving after 2:40pm, please drive directly into the parking stalls instead of reversing in, as unfortunately we are noticing that cars backing in after this time are creating a traffic jam as well as a safety hazard for primary students who are being dismissed at this time. If you will recall, this measure was in place last year and is being reinstated this year to further ensure the safety of our students. The wait time for you to reverse out will be relatively short. Your patience and cooperation is greatly appreciated.

*In reference to the “OnVolunteers Sign-Up Program” – that whatever you initially entered on that program (for example: names) cannot be adjusted as this causes difficulty for the Parent Activity Coordinators to track your hours completed.

*Our sincere gratitude goes out to our families at Holy Cross School for continuing to follow the protocols laid out in our 2020 Health & Safety Plan. We continue to advise families of our school community to continue to err on the side of caution when deciding to send your children to school. Thus far, your discretion and judgement has been outstanding and it has helped to maintain a safe school environment for all of us.

With sincere gratitude for your ongoing support,

Mr. Dino Alberti
Principal
